“Lost In Generation”

Lost In Generation

Layers of negative noise
Penetrate the occipital,
Creating visuals viscerally unknown
To the mind that thinks alone.

Believing all is possible
To find that all is not.
Only the remarkable,
Mixed with obstacle,
Formulates the alchemy
To defeat our own mediocrity.

A nation purdue.
No direction or compass.
We can read cardinals,
Follow intermediates,
At the first sign of indifference to creed,
We are expected to succumb to their breed.
What becomes lost in translation
Is the distorted view of destination.

To continue through the chaos,
Without knowing end,
Is what makes us lost in generation.

We Manifest our Destiny,
Never losing our Identity.
